Export of archive 'Archive Name' failed.
Reason: The parameter is incorrect.
Cause
In this scenario, the Exchange mailbox was migrated from an Exchange On-Premises server to the cloud (Microsoft Office 365) prior to exporting the archive content back to the original mailbox; then, the mailbox is migrated back to the Exchange On-Premises server.
As result, the information stored in the Enterprise Vault hidden message is out-of-sync with the Enterprise Vault mailbox information in the Enterprise Vault Directory database.
Resolution
Follow these steps to resolve this issue:
- Run the Enterprise Vault Provisioning Task.
- Open the Exchange Provisioning Task report and confirm the mailbox was linked to the previous entry: "Mailbox linked to previous entry 'MailboxDistinguishedName'.
- Synchronize the mailbox using the Enterprise Vault Exchange Mailbox Archiving Task.
- Confirm that the mailbox can be synchronized.
- Export the archive back to the original mailbox.
Issue/Introduction
Using the Export Archive wizard fails with the error message "The parameter is incorrect" when "Export archives to their original mailboxes" is selected.
