In eDiscovery Platform version 8.2 the LDAP authentication password must be set using the "Property Browser" Support Feature. The eDiscovery Platform version 8.2 Veritas System Administration Guide incorrectly states that the password must be set using the Clearwell Commander utility, however the utility has no such option.

To set the LDAP password on eDiscovery Platform version 8.2 and newer:

1. Log into eDiscovery Platform as superuser or another System Manager user.
2. Go to System > Support Features
3. Add the clear-text password to the esa.ldap.connectionPassword setting:
   • Name of property to change: esa.ldap.connectionPassword
   • For New value: enter the clear-text password
   • Check the box for Confirm change
   • Click Submit

Note: The setting of esa.ldap.connectionPassword.enc is no longer used in eDiscovery Platform version 8.2 and newer. This is because the clear-text password that is specified for esa.ldap.connectionPassword is automatically encrypted when stored.
