Cause

McAfee Email scan is preventing the EV Add-in from opening the mailbox store to read the EV hidden message.

 

Resolution

The issue has been observed with McAfee Email Scan 8.8 (patch 6 and 7). If this is disabled, the Enterprise Vault Add-in is properly loaded.

Note: Some customers have noted that McAfee Email Scan 8.8 patch 8 does not adversely affect the Enterprise Vault Add-in.

Issue/Introduction

Outlook 2016 does not load the Enterprise Vault Add-in when McAfee Email 8.8 (patch 6 and 7) is installed.
