Error Message

An Event ID 7109 is logged containing:

"An invalid saveset was encountered while doing watch file scan. This archive operation will be attempted to be cancelled"

"Invalid Reason = "

"not found for SavesetIdentity = "

This issue can occur if the saveset (DVS file) referenced in the event viewer message was not found in the expected partition location during the process to secure the item.
Note: StorageFileWatch scans the Enterprise Vault partition(s) to ensure that savesets are properly secured.

If the item is not present in the expected location during the StorageFileWatch scan process, an event is thrown. 

Enterprise Vault will automatically retrieve the safety copy of the saveset stored in the Storage Queue and reingest the DVS file back to the vault store partition. This can be confirmed by checking the path and file name listed in the event to confirm the saveset is now present in the vault store partition. Assumming the presence of the DVS files in the vault store parition, this event can be safely ignored.

Note:  For mailbox archiving the DVS files will be recreated after the mailbox archiving task is run in normal mode.  For SMTP archiving the DVS files will be recreated after clearing backup mode.
