Enterprise Vault logs are not generated in Event Viewer under Enterprise Vault Node, instead logs, similar to the folllowing, are generated under Windows Application Node:

Description:
The description for Event ID XXXX from source Enterprise Vault cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
Cause
Cause may be either of the following:
- Missing Registry key EventMessageFile under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\eventlog\Veritas Enterprise Vault\Enterprise Vault
- Path for registry key EventMessageFile pointing to wrong location of VaultMessages.dll file
Resolution
Create the Registry key
EventMessagFile as shown in the figure below:
- Create the following registry key:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\eventlog \Veritas Enterprise Vault\Enterprise Vault
Add a string named "EventMessageFile", with the value pointing to: \VaultMessages.dll
Note: Where is the installation location for Enterprise Vault binaries and by default points to C:\Program Files (x86)\enterprise vault\
Warning: Incorrect use of the Windows registry editor may prevent the operating system from functioning properly. Great care should be taken when making changes to a Windows registry. Registry modifications should only be carried-out by persons experienced in the use of the registry editor application. It is also recommended that a complete backup of the registry and workstation / server be made prior to making any registry changes.
