Cause

The browser detection logic caused some supported versions of Internet Explorer to be flagged incorrectly as incompatible.

 

Resolution

This issue is fixed in Enterprise Vault 12.1.
 


Workaround:

If it is not feasible to upgrade Enterprise Vault to 12.1, simply replace the file [Enterprise Vault installation directory]\EVSearch\EVSearchClient\View\CompatibilityMessageView.ascx with the 12.1 version of that file. The 12.1 version of the file is attached to this article for convenience.

 

 

Issue/Introduction

The browser compatibility warning in EV Search is shown even though the installed browser versions on the machine are compatible. Error Message
EV Search displays the following message upon loading:
