Enterprise Vault Search (EVS) no longer works after Upgrading to Enterprise Vault 12.x

Cause

This issue occurs because there were users still configured to use the legacy search during the upgrade to Enterprise Vault 12 and for some unknown reason not able to be determined the Enterprise Vault Installation did not enable the newer Enterprise Vault Search (EVS) feature for site wide which is a requirement now being legacy search is no longer available in EV 12and above.

Contact Veritas support and reference this article for workaround/solution.

Issue/Introduction

After upgrading Enterprise Vault 11.x to Enterprise Vault 12.x, Enterprise Vault Search (EVS) no longer works.  When going to Notes Client and clicking More/About Enterprise Vault..., then selecting Technical Support button it shows the older legacy EV search as the address.  For example:

Note:  searchO2k.asp is legacy search which is no longer supported in EV 12 and above.
