Description

Each and every task created using the Manage Indexes Tool are managed and processed by the Index Administration Task. The successfully created tasks can be monitored using the Monitor Indexing Tasks tool launched from the Indexing node in the VAC tree.

When an indexing task is not being processed,
  • Check the Index Administration Task Schedule on each of the associated EV indexing server,
1.        Open VAC and Navigate to the Enterprise Vault server -> node -> Tasks.
2.        In the right pane, select Index Administration Task, right click and open the Properties page.
3.        Select the Schedule Tab and check the configuration of the schedule. If it is set to Never then change it to ‘At selected times’ and fix up a schedule.
4.        Click OK and restart the service for the changes to take place into effect.
  • Check if the Indexing service is running on each of the EV index server in the Index Server Group or Site.
  • Check if the SQL server is running fine and there are no network issues between the SQL servers and EV servers.
  • Check if the Directory service is running on each of the EV index server in the Index Server Group or Site.
