Enterprise Vault has performance counters that show the number of index volumes being processed and waiting to be processed as detailed in the table below:
| Synchronisation queue count | A count of the number of index volumes on this index server that have items waiting to be indexed |
| Sub task queue count | A count of the number of index volumes on this index server that have sub tasks waiting to be performed. e.g. Rebuilds |
| Work item queue count | A count of the number of index volumes on this index server that are queued to be performed next. This queue is limited to 100 by default and is populated by taking index volumes from the ‘Synchronisation’ and ‘Sub task’ queues |
| Number of indexing agents | A count of the number of index volumes on this index server that are being processed. By default only 30 index volumes can be processed at the same time |
