Description
Version 10.0.3 of Enterprise Vault, Compliance Accelerator, and Discovery Accelerator introduced database roles with which you can improve SQL database security. The attached technical notes describe how to:
- Revoke the SQL database permissions that the Vault Service account does not need.
- Use the database roles to grant only the permissions needed for normal daily operations.
You must install and configure Enterprise Vault, Compliance Accelerator, and Discovery Accelerator before you use the procedures in this technical note.
The attached technical notes apply to:
- Enterprise Vault 10.0.3, 10.0.4, 11.0 and 11.0.1.
- Enterprise Vault 12 and later.
For earlier versions of Enterprise Vault, see Related Articles below.
