Description

When collecting from Exchange with Enterprise Vault (EV) Mailbox Archiving present, the user may run into the issue of eDiscovery Platform (eDP) collecting EV (EV) shortcuts. There actually is no option available to not collect EV shortcuts. However, there is an eDP property that can be added to allow the eDP crawler to skip this message type. Although the EV shortcuts will be collected by Clearwell, the shortcuts will not be indexed and therefore will not be processed into Clearwell. 

1. In the Clearwell user interface, click on System > Support Features > Property Browser (from drop-down) 

2. In 'Name of property to change', please type :  esa.icp.collection.exchange.excludeIPMMessageClasses 

3. In 'New value (leave blank to remove)' type: IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut

4. Confirm change. Are you sure?*  

5. Click the Submit button 

6. Restart Clearwell services using Option 3 and 4 in the Clearwell Utility.

Note: The original documents can be collected with an EV collection.
