Description

1.  Make a backup of your mailbox database(s).  Next steps will be against the backup copy.
2.  Remove encryption on the backup database(s) if enabled
3.  Check access control list (ACLs) of the backup database(s) so that Enterprise Vault can access the file(s)
4.  In the Vault Administration Console, stop the Domino Journaling Task
5.  Copy your backup mailbox database(s) onto a Domino target server that has journaling enabled and is being journal archived by Enterprise Vault.  The location should be the folder where the journal database(s) reside.
6.  By default Enterprise Vault will only journal archive databases with the Mail Journal advanced template.  This can be done manually by selecting replace design using the Notes Admin Client or by entering the following command at the Domino server console.  For this example the Journaling folder is \Symantec:
    load convert Veritas\*.nsf * mailjrn.ntf
7.  In the Vault Administration Console, start the Domino Journaling Task
8.  It will take some time for the data to be ingest.  When the process is done the databases should be removed to clean up the folder.
