Description

Clearwell uses the third party tool, Stellent Outside-In, to identify a file's actual type, regardless of its file extension, prior to processing.

Use the following steps to manually verify file types:

  1. Open a command prompt at D:\CW\\exe\filefilter
  2. Run the following command line with no arguments: fileid
  3. On the next line, type the file name and path.  You can verify a list of files by entering the full path and name on separate lines.
  4. When done hit return twice.  The input mode will complete when it detects an empty line

Example
D:\CW\Vxxx\exe\filefilter>fileid
d:\test\vsasf.dll
d:\test\imcm52.flt
\\server\share_name\sx.cfg

"d:\test\vsasf.dll","1800"
"d:\test\imcm52.flt","1800"
"\\server\share_name\sx.cfg","4022"

The number associated with each file can be looked up in the attached table.
