Description

Information on resolving the most common problems related to Enterprise Vault (EV) Event ID 41312 / V-437-41312. Event 41312 can occur in EV for numerous reasons with many accompanying event IDs.

Event 41312 indicates there was a problem with the startup of the Enterprise Vault Indexing Service.  The table below illustrates more information about the error.  Pay close attention to the event category, description and exception within the Event ID.  These identifiers help determine the cause of the error and point to the resolution.
 

 

Sample Event Example Description
Event ID 41312 Relates to the Veritas Enterprise Vault Error message number
Event or Task Category  Index Admin Service Identifies the Enterprise Vault process that generated the error
Description The Indexing service could not complete all the required startup routine Illustrates that a program fault occurred at the time of execution
Exception Service will be stopped A further illustration of the fault and why it occurred
