Description

In order to process data from a location on the network into a case in the Veritas eDiscovery Platform powered by Clearwell, it is required to create a source data folder reference in the case.  The step below explain how to do this.
 

1. Once the case has been created, select the case from the All Cases dropdown box
2. Then click on the Processing tab
3. Then click on Sources & Pre-processing link
4. At the bottom left side of the screen, there is an action dropdown box.  Select Add Case Folder Source and then click Go
5. Provide the required fields in red and configure the remaining options per preference
   
6. Then click Save

Once the above steps are complete, the case folder source that points to the location specified in the properties will be created.  The default setting is to start discovery of the data immediately after saving the properties window.  Once the discovery is complete, the case folder source will then need to be processed into the case for review.  To identify and resolve any errors, follow the steps below.

1. Click on Reports and then select Discovery Errors on the left

2. Then click Create Report.  The report can be reviewed in the Jobs window at the top of the screen for any errors that may have occurred during discovery.  Any errors should be resolved before proceeding.
3. Then select the case folder source that was created above by placing a check on the box to the left
   
4. On the bottom right side of the screen in the Perform action dropdown, select Start processing without discovery since the previous step performed discovery already unless the defaults were changed to not perform discovery upon saving the case folder source item.  In that instance, select Start processing with discovery

5. Then Click Go

Once processing completes, the items will be able to be reviewed in Analysis & Review.
