Note: This article assumes the ECS Streamer has been installed on the Enterprise Vault server.
1. In the Enterprise Vault Admin Console, start the New Partition Wizard. Click next
2. Enter the name and description of the new partition. Figure 1.Click next.

3. Under the Storage type, choose EMC Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS). Figure 2. Click Next.

4. On the EMC Elastic Cloud Storage (ECS) Connection Settings, you enter the value for each setting as provided by EMC. Figure 3.

Host – Enter the IP address or FQDN of the LB service.
Port – Default port is 9020.
Bucket name – Enter the name of the Bucket to be used.
Access Key – Enter the ECS access key (user) to be used.
Secret Key – Enter the access key’s secret key.
Safe Copy Check – Enter the value of 0 or 2 (see below for Safe Copy Check value definitions).
Use Proxy – Set to 0 if no proxy used or the port # e.g.8888 of the proxy.
Namespace – Enter the name of the namespace in which the bucket named above resides.
5. Click the Test button to check connectivity.Click Next.
6. Choose the appropriate method to store data.
Note: Both WORM and non-WORM are supported with EMC ECS.

7. Click Next to complete the wizard.
