Error Message
There is no error message, this is how normal, signed and encrypted items look after the Enterprise Vault archival (the following with the Mailbox policy / Shortcut content / Display attachments as links)- Normal emails
Microsoft Outlook (shortcut body created, attachment link)
Enterprise Vault Search (preview and attachment)
- Signed emails
Microsoft Outlook (shortcut body created, no attachment link)
Enterprise Vault Search (preview visible without the attachment)
- Encrypted emails
Microsoft Outlook (shortcut body not created, no attachment links)
Enterprise Vault Search ("no preview of this item is available. You can download the original item"
Resolution
The above scenario is by design during the creation of the shortcut body and attachments links for S/MIME emails, the retrieve of any type of messages will properly work and return any attachments
Issue/Introduction
During the archival of signed and/or encrypted Microsoft Outlook S/MIME emails, no attachment link is created in the shortcut body, in addition the shortcut body for encrypted emails also is not created.
