Items archived using Outlook do not always contain email addresses
- When items are archived by dragging and dropping them into the archive using Enterprise Vault IMAP access, the email address for the sender is not always retained.
- For example: This can happen with older items are dragged from PST files. This means that the item is archived with just the sender's display name in the From: field. This might lead to items displaying “No Sender” in certain IMAP clients.

Outlook can become unresponsive during synchronization

Move actions in archives that do not allow deletions
- Outlook 2010 When you move multiple items using IMAP access, Outlook tries to copy then delete the items in the archive. Outlook successfully copies the first item before trying to delete it, but the operation fails at this point because deletions are not allowed. The remaining items are not copied.
- Outlook 2013 When you move items using IMAP access, first the action is completed in the local folders, then synchronized to the archive. This means that locally moved items are all copied to the target in the archive. However, the archive does not allow items to be deleted from the copy action's source folder in the archive, so this leads to duplicate items in the source folder and in the target folder.
In Outlook 2007, full synchronization creates performance issues
- Outlook 2007 experiences performance issues when downloading full item content, including frequent freezing of the user interface. We strongly recommended that to you download only headers in Outlook 2007, or upgrade to a more recent version.
Contacts archived from Outlook using IMAP access display only the notes section when TNEF is enabled.
- When you archive a contact using IMAP access and TNEF encoding is enabled, the whole item is archived but only the notes content is visible when you use IMAP access and the preview in Enterprise Vault Search. This is due to a lack of support for vCards. Additional information is not visible after archiving.
