Error Message
Using McAfee Endpoint Security 10.5 with a default configuration on a file server can cause the recall of archived files during a scan.
This could happen if the ON-DEMAND SCAN > Files that have been migrated to storage option is selected.
Resolution
Make sure that you clear the ON-DEMAND SCAN > Files that have been migrated to storage option.
- Click Start > All Programs.
- Click McAfee > McAfee Endpoint Security.
- In the McAfee Endpoint Security dialog box, click Threat Prevention.
- In the Settings dialog box, scroll down to ON-DEMAND SCAN.
- On the Full Scan, Quick Scan, and Right-Click Scan tabs, clear Files that have been migrated to storage.
- Click Apply. The recall of the archived files should no longer occur.
