The Optimized Single Instance Storage (OSIS) mechanism reduces the footprint of physical storage required for archived items by creating and storing a unique fingerprint within a new database. When a network outage or interruption occurs during the creation of these fingerprints, Enterprise Vault will perform a Rollback operation to prevent orphaned fingerprints in the database and during the process produce the Event error. This event can be considered more of an informational message indicating that the DVS specified is either no longer available or decompression failed for the same reason. The error is valid in that the DVS is not in the location specified as it will be removed as part of the Rollback operation. A new DVS will be created as part of this operation, so at no time could a data loss situation occur due to this scenario.
These errors can be safely ignored.
