Error Message

An Event ID: 41293 can be seen in the Enterprise Vault Event Viewer log. Corresponding Event ID: 1310 may be seen in the Application log on the Enterprise Vault server.

This issue can be caused by duplicate entries in the web.config file located in the C:\Windows\Microsoft.Net\Framework64\v2.0.50727\Config folder path.

Solution

• Replace the web.config file from a known good copy either through a backup or from another working Enterprise Vault Server.
• Assuming no replacement is available, Event ID: 1310 may provide details of the section or line number that is incorrect in the web.config file.

In the above Event ID: 1310 line number 341 indicates the entries that are listed twice in the web.config. Below shows an example of a duplicate entry and all the lines within.

Note: Before modifying any web.config file, ensure a backup is available.
