Unable to install patch 12.3.1 due to an error installing the SMTP File components
Error Message
1: Execution of CommandLine failed (exit code : 1072)Cause
Enterprise Vault SMTP Service was marked for deletion during a previous attempt to install patch 12.3.1
Resolution
Open the command line and run the below to delete the "Enterprise Vault SMTP Service" manually:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\SMTP\bin\ConfigureSmtpService.exe" DeleteService "C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\SMTP\bin\isode.pp.smtp.exe" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\Installation Logs\DeleteService.log"
Confirm that the "Enterprise Vault SMTP Service" was deleted, and then apply the patch
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\SMTP\bin\ConfigureSmtpService.exe" DeleteService "C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\SMTP\bin\isode.pp.smtp.exe" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Enterprise Vault\Installation Logs\DeleteService.log"
