Description

Veritas eDiscovery has a built in size limitation for PKI encrypted emails during processing. This size limitation is set to "10000000" bytes by default. With this, any email that is PKI encrypted and is over the size limitation of 10000000 (10MB) bytes, will fail to process. If this limitation is encountered, there will be no error presented, but the processing logs and reports will show that these PKI encrypted emails were not processed.

To increase the size limitation for PKI encrypted emails, use the following steps:

  1. Login to the Veritas eDiscovery UI
  2. Go to System > Support Features
  3. From the drop down select Property Browser
  4. In the field Name of property to change enter esa.crawler.pkcs7.MaxMsgBufSizeBytes
  5. In the field New Value enter the desired size in bytes (Max value = 2147483647)
  6. Select the checkbox Confirm Change
  7. Click Submit

Re-process the emails to confirm that all PKI encrypted emails are now successfully processed.
