Cause
This is caused by a problem with the way the expiry process calls the Centera API.
This error appears only in environments where all of the following are true:
- EV is version 12.3.2/12.4.0
- The EMC Centera partition is configured to use Collection (multiple savesets stored in each Clip)
- The EMC Centera partition is configured to set the Centera retention period from the EV Retention Category (i.e., on the partition's Retention tab, an option other than "Never" is selected)
- Items on the EMC Centera partition are eligible for expiry
Resolution
This issue has been addressed in the following release of Enterprise Vault.

Issue/Introduction
When an item stored on an EMC Centera device become eligible for expiry, Storage Delete encounters errors when attempting to delete the item.
