No error is seen. The behavior that is observed is that all Items continue to be indexed without metadata being collected.
This issue occurs because the Enterprise Vault Analytic Connector is hard-coded to search for the CrawlerPluginsSettings.xml file on the first server in the Enterprise Vault Site, in the Cache folder location.
Enterprise Vault has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the version(s) of the product(s) referenced in this article. This issue is currently under investigation by Enterprise Vault. Pending the outcome of the investigation, this issue may be resolved by way of a cumulative hotfix or service pack in the current or future versions of the software. However, this particular issue is not currently scheduled for any release. The Enterprise Vault Analytics Connector enables proprietary and third party applications, such as analytics or machine learning applications, to access Enterprise Vault index metadata. The Enterprise Vault Analytic Connector will fail to collect metadata on any of the Enterprise Vault servers within the (EV) site if the Enterprise Vault "Site Server" is offline.
