Cause

eDP uses the EV index volume to generate the transaction id of the items that it collects.  If these errors are seen for the item failing, then it means the transaction id in the EV database is different from the index volume entry.  Because of the mismatch, eDP will fail when trying to put a legal hold on the item.

Resolution

The EV archive index volume that the item resides in will need to be rebuilt.
