Cause
The conversion style of the date stored for 'LastDescriptorPurgeDate' is changed in Enterprise Vault 12.x, however, the new conversion style is not implemented when it is upgraded from an earlier version of Enterprise Vault.
Resolution
Please contact Veritas technical support for assistance in implementing the workaround.
There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. While this issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time, it is not currently scheduled for any release. Issue/Introduction
As a result, Event 13406 - Conversion failed when converting date and/or time from the character string is shown in the Enterprise Vault (EV) event log. This typically occurs if the environment has been upgraded to Enterprise Vault 12.x from an earlier version of Enterprise Vault in the Japanese locale environment.
