Error Message

The following pop up will appear as (EVS) is launched:

"This website is best viewed in one of the following browser:

-Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 and later

-Mozilla Firefox 16 and later

-Google Chrome 22 and later

-Apple Safari 5 and later

Some features of this website may not work correctly in other browsers. "

Note: This warning appears in Apple Safari 5 and later. 

This issue is due to and incorrect check on the browser type. As a result generic information is passed generating the warning. 

Workaround: This issue can be easily worked around by simply hitting the 'Red X' in the upper right hand corner of the warning. This issue does not effect the functionality of (EVS). 

Veritas has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the version(s) of the product(s) referenced in this article.

There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a cumulative hotfix or service pack in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. This issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time, but is not scheduled for any release.
