This issue can occasionally occur when updating the new license to replace the existing one.
The normal method to install or update an eDiscovery Platform (eDP) license is to login to the Appliance and install the license from the System | License | Update License
This process normally takes less than a minute to complete. When the update is stuck in loading and never complete, the alternative method is to replace the existing license with the new one and restart eDP services.
Details:
1. On the eDP, open a Windows Explorer.
2. Go to the D:\CW\Vxx\ folder and copy the existing License folder to another location such as Desktop.
3. Copy the new license paste it into the D:\CW\Vxx\license\current folder.
4. Use the Clearwell Utility to run option #3 and #4 (stop and start eDP services).
5. Logon to the Appliance and confirm the license is now updated.
NOTE: If this is a cluster environment, ensure all files in the D:\CW\Vxx\license folder remain intact (not deleted); otherwise, the new license will complain that this license is invalid for a cluster environment. Repeat step 1-5 with the worker nodes to update the license.
