A Dtrace of the ArchiveTask process on the EV server will show the following - 

{CArchivingAgent::ProcessShortcutItem:#12802} shortcut with Archive ID of [1867530921E16B6408C96F3D3DBAAE0531110000ev_site_name] will be ignored and not get processed, as the EV server alias is not on the white list [Test EV Site]

Cause

The additional site name is not in the Valid Enterprise Vault site aliases list. 

Resolution

Perform the following steps to resolve the issue. 

  1. Update the Valid Enterprise Vault site aliases value on the Advanced tab of the Exchange Mailbox policy to include the valid site names. 
  2. Perform a synchronization of the mailbox(es) from the mailbox archiving task.

The shortcuts should now be updated properly during the next archiving run.  

Issue/Introduction

Shortcuts cannot be updated as the Enterprise Vault (EV) site alias is not recognized as a valid name.
