NOTE: This section can be skipped for environments that do not include the Collection module.
Description: The ‘Move’ feature in the Collection module updates the data location pointers within the ICP tables. The 'Move' will copy the Task data from Point A (original location) to Point B (the new location) and delete the Task data from the original location. The Collection Set data will not be touched by this feature.
IMPORTANT: If the Collection data is manually copied prior to executing the 'Move' feature. It is important to delete the data from the original location before executing the 'Move' feature. The feature will update the location pointers within the database and attempt to copy the Task data again. If Task data exists, the 'Move' feature will overwrite the Task data that was copied prior to its execution.
1. Add the new server locations. Duplicate the folder hierarchy at the new location.

2. Ensure there are no running Collection Tasks

3. Delete or Process any unprocessed data.
NOTE: If there is a Trash Can icon on the right, the data has only been discovered and not processed.
NOTE: If there is yellow in the glyph To Process, the pointers will no longer be able to locate the unprocessed data after the move.

4. Open the All Collection home page and select the ‘Move’ icon.

5. Select the new location.

Once the Select button is chosen the Collection Tasks will be moved to the new location.
The 'Move' feature copies only the Collection Tasks and does not copy the Sets. Collection Sets must be manually RoboCopied to the new location, followed by the use of the Collection Locator Modifier (as described in Section II)
NOTE: The ‘Move’ action, will set the new location as the default Data Location for that Collection only.
