Outlook for Office365 has scripting in custom forms disabled by default.
The EV Outlook Add-in installer will create the required registry keys. It is recommended to run a repair install of the EV add-in rather than manually add the following keys. When changing versions or platform (x64 vs x86) of Office, the EV Add-in installation must be run or repaired.
The following registry entries will allow Outlook to trust the Enterprise Vault Custom Forms so that clicking on the banner properly opens the original item.
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Security
dword: "DisableCustomFormItemScript"=0
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Forms\TrustedFormScriptList
String: "IPM.Note"
String: "IPM.Note.Custom"
String: "IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.PendingArchive"
String: "IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.PendingArchive.ArchiveMe"
String: "IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut.DeleteMe"
String: "IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut.RestoreMe"
String: "IPM.Note.EnterpriseVault.Shortcut"
Note: The registry paths above are for a 32-bit Outlook installation. For 64-bit, remove WOW6432Node from the path.
Once the registry values have been set, restart the Outlook client.
