After upgrading to eDiscovery Platform 9.5 users are unable to log into the user interface

Error Message

[#160005] Authentication failed: User id not found or password was incorrectly typed.  Please contact your Clearwell administrator for assistance.

Cause

This is caused by the following LDAP property being blank or missing:

esa.ldap.connectionPassword

 

Resolution

1. Log into the eDP user interface using a local administrative account (IE superuser).
2. System > Support Features > Property browser
3. In the Name of property to change field put:
esa.ldap.connectionPassword
4. In the New value (leave blank to remove) field put:
The current password for the appropriate AD account.   
5. Put a check in Confirm change. Are you sure?
6. Click Submit.

There are no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in earlier versions of the software at the present time.  However, the issue has been addressed in the revision of the product specified at the end of this article. 
 
Please contact your Veritas Sales representative or the Veritas Sales group for upgrade information including upgrade eligibility to the release containing the resolution for this issue.

A new release of eDP 9.5 is now available for consumer download which resolves the issue.
