Event ID 45084 occurs when Enterprise Vault attempts to configure FPolicy on a NetApp C-Mode server

Error Message

The 45084 event will be seen in the Veritas Enterprise Vault Event Viewer log.  Also, a Dtrace on the EvNetAppCModePHSvr process during a restart of the Enterprise Vault Admin Service on the EV server will show the following:

Cause

This issue has been seen to be caused by a missing self-signed certificate on the NetApp Vserver.  This will cause authentication to fail from the EV server when attempting to validate/create the FPolicy.

Resolution

Ensure that a self-signed certificate is installed on the Vserver and restart the Enterprise Vault Admin Service.  

Issue/Introduction

An error occurs on the Enterprise Vault (EV) server when attempting to configure the FPolicy on a NetApp C-Mode server. This issue will cause the recall of placeholder files to fail from the NetApp server.
