Cause

Due to multiple changes in the advanced search functionality of the eDiscovery Platform 9.5, the criterias on how to add participants have also been changed. As a result, when selecting only particular participants to search, all items from all participants returned.

Resolution

Workaround:
1. From the Advanced search, select the participant via the participant picker (notepad/pencil icon).
2. Add the participants as needed and click on the OK button.
3. Highlight and right-click and then copy to copy the participants.
4. From the Drop-down menu next to Participant, click on another option such as E-mail address.
5. The pop-up message states: This will clear the participant values entered for this row. Do you want o proceed?
6. Click on OK to continue.
7. Click on Participant again and the field will reset as blank.
8. Paste the participant list copied earlier into the Participant field via right-click and then Paste.
9. Click on the Run Search button to run an advanced search.
10. The result should now be accurate.

Solution:
Download, extract and apply the patch CFT-2994-Solution_Patch (attached) to resolve the issue. 

Note: Rename the file from CFT-2994-Solution_Patch.txt to CFT-2994-Solution_Patch.zip and extract the files.
