Clearly, the amount processed are not correct since each processed is well over 20MB PST file. If the large amount of processing capacity noticed immediately after a particular PST is processed, identify the issue by opening the PST file via Outlook and examine any large attachment.
If the issue is not known right away, identify the issue by going to the Analysis & Review of the suspected case that consumed large amount of processing capacity. From Analysis & Review, do the followings:
1. Click on an Advanced search and filter the largest size (e.g. 500+MB).
2. Click on the Run Search button to find large items.
3. If items are found, hover the mouse over the Notepad icon next to the Subject/Filename on one of the items to identify the source location of the PST.
4. Identify the issue by opening the PST in Outlook and examine note any large attachments that display much larger than the original size of the PST.
It is a responsibility of the administrator to ensure there's no issue with the PSTs before processing them in the eDiscovery Platform.
Note: A utility such as ScanPST.exe has been known to fix an email with incorrect size attachments.
