Error Message

On access of archived items from SharePoint below would be the error message:

In the Admin Service Dtrace on SharePoint Front end web server we would see the below error message:

(AdminService)    <5332>    EV:H    {ClientAuthImpl::GetLocalAuthServer} Status: [The server process could not be started because the configured identity is incorrect. Check the username and password.  (0x8000401a)]

(AdminService)    <5332>    EV:H    {CClientAuthenticate::GenAuthString} Error [The server process could not be started because the configured identity is incorrect. Check the username and password.  (0x8000401a)]

(AdminService)    <5332>    EV:H    CContentManagementAPI::SetSecurity Error using AuthServer security. (hr=0x8000401a)

Cause

We need to make sure that password for  VSA under identity tab in Dcomcnfg for Enterprise Vault Admin Service and EnterpriseVault.AuthServer components is updated correctly.

Resolution

1) On Sharepoint server ensure that correct identity i.e. VSA account in dcomcnfg for EnterpriseVault Admin service and EnterpriseVault Auth Server components and re-enter the password.

2)Then on All SharePoint Front end web servers, click on Start -> SharePoint configuration wizard and enter the VSA credentials
