The Information Classifier service is unable to contact Enterprise Vault

Enable the Data Access Account in Active Directory and ensure it is not locked. Additionally, ensure the account has read\write access to the VIC Policies location and that the password stored in the 'Data Access Account' tab in the properties of the Directory object is correct.
