1. Delete the shortcut manually in Outlook
OR
2. Set the Exchange Mailbox Policy setting Delete shortcuts in folders to delete shortcuts after 1 day. Then Synchronize the mailbox from the archiving task and perform a Run Now - Shortcut Processing on the mailbox.

If an archived item with a shortcut was restored, and then re-archived the new Enterprise Vault shortcut will have a different PR_Entry_ID attribute then the original item in the archive. This attribute is what Enterprise Vault references when it validates if the shortcut can be deleted. Since the re-archived shortcut's attribute is different the deletion of the shortcut during export will no longer occur.
Veritas has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the version(s) of the product(s) referenced in this article.
There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a cumulative hotfix or service pack in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time. This issue may be resolved in a future major revision of the software at a later time, but is not scheduled for any release.
