Description
The index rebuild report contains the following verbiage:
Creating a new live index volume for the archive. This allows ingestion to continue as the old index volumes are rebuilt.
A new live index volume has been created.
The behaviour of rebuild depends on the type of archive:
- Journal or SMTP - if rebuilding the entire archive or the live index volume a new live index volume is created before the existing archives are rebuilt. This is to avoid the situation where the rebuild never catches up as new data is archived and indexed
- Other archive types - No new live index volume is created; existing volume(s) are rebuilt as 64 bit index volumes.
