This issue can occur when the partition was initially configured to Store data in WORM Mode as recommended by the Hitachi's documentation "Hitachi Content Platform Adapter for Enterprise Vault User’s Guide".
The product is working as designed as it is honoring the WORM mode settings of the storage device. If it is required to change the behavior, it is recommended to contact Hitachi support as the storage device and streamer software used by Enterprise Vault is supported by Hitachi.
