Error Message

The user domain\vsa is not a member of the local administrators group on file server: emcunity50.domain.com. The user domain\vsa should have full control to the files & shares you wish to archive.  

Cause

This looks to be an issue with a check performed against the EMC Unity server and the result is reported incorrectly.  

Resolution

This failed return does not cause issues with normal operations of Enterprise Vault File System Archiving.  

Veritas has acknowledged that the above-mentioned issue is present in the version(s) of the product(s) referenced in this article.

There are currently no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in the current or previous versions of the software at the present time.
