Cause
The lack of highlighting is caused by the presence of carriage return tags not being processed by hit highlighting, thus resulting in a lack of highlighting. Carriage return tags can differ depending on the application that created the message or the text of the message.

Issue/Introduction
Enterprise Vault (EV) Compliance Accelerator provides the ability to use Hotwords and Hotphrases in Searches. These Hotpwords/Hotphrases are highlighted in the messages when Previewed in the Review Set to indicate they caused the message to be returned as a Search hit.
If a Hotphrase is used in a CA search where the message has a carriage return between the words/terms in the Hotphrase, the message will be found as a Search hit but the Hotphrase terms will not be highlighted in the Review Set.
Here are some examples of the behaviour:
Example 1:
The previous paragraph contains a text-book example of insider trading and how it can occur.
Example 2:
When the training was over, each student felt like an insider.
Trading could now continue with the students having a full understanding of the proceedings.
If a message containing example 1 and another message containing example 2 were Archived, a Search using the Hotphrase "insider trading" should find both messages. However, only the message containing example 1 would show "insider trading" as being highlighted. The message containing example 2 would be found by the Hotphrase Search but would not show "insider" of "trading' being highlighted.
