Cause

Complex items intermittently cause the hash calculation from the Retriever service to provide a different result than the hash value created during the indexing phase of data ingestion.

Resolution

1. Apply the following ESA property value at the System level, on all nodes within a Standalone or Distributed Architecture environment.
• Property: esa.retriever.validate_hash
• Value: false

Steps to add the new property:

  • Navigate to System > Support Features
  • Choose Property Browser From the drop-down
  • Under Select the Case (or system) select System from the drop-down
  • In the Name of property to change field, enter the property name: esa.retriever.validate_hash
  • In the New Value (leave blank to remove) field, enter false
  • Check the Confirm change box
  • Click the Submit button
  • Requires a restart of eDP services using the CW Utility for change to take effect.
