Cause

The ISN (Index Sequence Number) range and total number of indexed items within the Enterprise Vault Directory database for the hung index volume are inconsistent. 

Note: This information of Some items could not be searched indicates that the index volume has some items that the EV Indexing Service could not be indexed.  The search did return those items in the index volume that match the search criteria but there could be other items that would match if they were indexed.

 

Resolution

Contact Enterprise Vault technical support and reference this Technote for assistance with resolving this issue.

Issue/Introduction

When running searches in Discovery Accelerator, specific index volumes may not progress beyond the Processing stage and hang indefinitely. This prevents the search from completing and reaching the Pending Acceptance stage.
