Upgrade failed. (Details: Failed to determine Processor architecture for
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System)
Cause
The issue occurs when the Remote Registry service is disabled on the Target Filer or the Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) component on the Target Filer is corrupted.
Resolution
1) Verify the health of WMI on the affected server.
If WMI is found to be corrupted, work with the OS vendor to rectify the issue.
2) if the Remote Registry service is in Disabled state, then enable it and set its Startup type to Automatic,
Note: The Remote Registry service will fail to start if attempted from the Windows Services Console. This is an on-demand service.
