The User Interface appears to freeze when stepping through documents

Cause

The user interface freezes when there is a large number of “Related Discussions” to the item being reviewed. The processing of “Related discussions” blocks multiple threads from completing.

Resolution

  1. Navigate to System > Support Features
  2. Choose Property Browser from the pull down
  3. Fill out Name of property to change to esa.review.timeoutContentLoading.cases
  4. Fill out New value with the new value to the comma separated case names IE:Case_Name_1,Case_Name_2,. . 
  5. Check the Confirm change box
  6. Click the Submit button

 

NOTE: 

This condition will only appear in a Distributed Architecture environment
This property setting should be set on the Cluster Master only
You do not need to restart for this setting to take affect.  

UPDATE:

Beginning in eDP v10.1.1 there is now a patch along with a global setting to configure the property to apply to all cases on the cluster.
Contact Veritas eDiscovery Support and reference CFT-4240 patch with the TSE working with you.

Issue/Introduction

When stepping through document attachments the User Interface seems to freeze to the point where the reviewer cannot step to the next item and cannot backup to the previous item. This condition will only appear in a Distributed Architecture environment.
