CA has three types of searches available: Immediate Search that runs as soon as it is saved, Scheduled Search that runs on the day and time specified by the search schedule to which the search is linked, and Guaranteed Sample Search (GSS) that runs as part of the Random Sampling processing.
The criteria of Scheduled Searches and GSS cannot be edited once created. This is by design. Fields that cannot be edited include the Authors and Recipients, Search Terms (Subject, Content), Attachments, Miscellaneous, Policies and Intelligent Review.
The only fields that can be edited for Scheduled Searches are the Search Schedule, Start/End dates and Sampling information. For GSS, the only editable field is whether or not the GSS is enabled.
If the need is to edit the Search Terms, i.e., the Hotwords used in the Subject and/or Content fields, it is recommended to use Hotword Sets rather than Hotwords when creating the Scheduled Search or GSS. Hotword Sets contain one or more Hotwords or phrases and Hotword Sets can easily be edited. This would allow any future searches to use the updated Hotwords from the Hotword Set.for any future search runs.
