No error message is present.

 

The Review Set Preview displays the message and inline content as an HTML rendering. The issue is caused by the Preview incorrectly processing the images' URL(s) from the HTML source, resulting in the image(s) being depicted by an icon indicating the Preview was unavailable.

 

 

There are no plans to address this issue by way of a patch or hotfix in earlier versions of the software at the present time. However, the issue has been addressed in the revision of the product specified at the end of this article.

- Enterprise Vault 14.2.3
- Enterprise Vault 14.3

 

Messages with inline images do not display the images in Enterprise Vault (EV) Compliance Accelerator (CA) or Discovery Accelerator (DA) when the messages are Previewed in the Review Set. Instead, each image is represented by a white X in a black box. The image file names of each inline image are listed under the From/To information section in the Preview Reading pane. Clicking on each of these image file names does correctly display the image. Clicking on the 'View original item' button at the top left of the Preview Reading Pane does show the entire message with the inline images displayed correctly.
