Description

Veritas eDiscovery Platform 10.1 and above supports the installation of Microsoft Office 2019 on the supported Windows OS. (Please check the Compatibility Matrix for more details).

There may be a situation where you need to uninstall and reinstall Office 2019 through the 10.1 installer package. Due to a bug in that specific installer, the Installer.bat file doesn't reinstall Office suite even if it's selected.

To install Office 2019, please follow the steps below:

1. Log in to the server via the EsaApplicationService account.

2. Download and unzip full installer package Veritas_eDiscovery_Platform_Installer_10.1_Win-EN.

3. Go to "\packages\microsoft\Office2019PlusVLK" and double click on the installation.bat file within that folder.

A command line interface will pop up which starts the installation in the background.

Allow it some time to finish the installation and the CLI will disappear after successful installation. At this stage, Office 2019 installation is complete. Move to the next and most important steps.

4. Take a backup of the registry.

5. Import additional registry settings through the attached ConfigureOffice2019.txt file. Rename the file from .txt to .reg and double-click on it to merge into existing registry settings.

This is required for all areas of the product utilizing Office 2019 binaries to function properly.
